What Is A Successful Relationship?
So many people describe the ending of relationships as a failure.
It’s as if “til death do us part” is the only measure of success.
But most relationships don’t last 30 years. Does that make them all failures?
As Oprah says on her podcast, “There’s something to be learned from every experience.”
What if this applies to every relationship we have -- that each one, whether for 20 months or 20 years, teaches us something, and relationship success is defined by how much we learn and grow?
What if this boilerplate idea of til death do us part limits our ability to draw the real lessons from every relationship we have?
